MacProject II calculates the dates, slack time, and critical path of a schedule and the duration of time a resource will work on a specific task.
The application calculates three types of dates: planned dates (based on data you enter when you set up the project), actual dates
(the actual dates MacProject II calculates are really projected dates based on actual dates you provide), and late dates (which are determined by the planned dates or the actual dates, depending on the method of calculation you set).

The planned dates in a schedule are Earliest Start and Earliest Finish; the late dates are Latest Start and Latest Finish. When you originally set up a project schedule, you supply at least one planned or late date, a duration for each task, and some resource information. MacProject II calculates the rest of the planned and late dates from that data.
